Growth of pay, not its level. Not a salary.
What this is, and how to read it
Three layers, never blended
Salary evidence is a pay figure for a role from a source that states it — a government pay matrix, a public recruitment notification, a company's disclosed pay band — with the statistic, the period and the geography kept. Market demand is a hiring signal: year-on-year movement in job postings for the sector a role sits in. Skill signals say which skills a sector is asking for. Each is shown separately, with its own grade, because a demand signal is not a salary and a salary observation says nothing about demand.
What the grades mean
Verified means a role-level pay figure exists in a source we can name and date; limited means the evidence is partial — one source, one geography, or an older period; signal only means demand or skills evidence exists but no pay figure; research gap means nothing on any layer yet. No salary is ever inferred from a demand signal, an industry average or a job title; a role without pay evidence says so.
How to use it
Search a role above for its snapshot. Open a role page for the full evidence table with every observation, its source and its limitations. Use the Market Radar for which sectors, functions and cities are hiring, and the data catalogue for the raw extracts and versions. Sources are official or disclosed, dated, and re-checked; the coverage figures above are computed from the data at each build.

Worked example: reading one role
Nurse, from the search box to what the figure means.
- Search the role
Type “nurse” in the search box above. The snapshot shows which of the five evidence layers carry something for the role, and how strong each is.
- Open the role page
The nurse page holds one dated figure: AIIMS (Government of India), Nursing Officer, Group B (Level 7), from AIIMS NORCET-11, Notice No. 103/2026.
- Read what the figure is
₹5,38,800 a year is ₹44,900 a month of basic pay. Basic pay only; nursing allowance, DA and HRA excluded. Public-sector nursing at AIIMS, not private hospitals.
- Turn it into take-home
Allowances are added to basic pay, and income tax and provident fund come off. The CTC breakup calculator does that arithmetic for any offer.
What “Beta” means here
Career Intelligence is in beta because its salary layer reaches only the roles for which an official, dated pay figure exists: 35 of 199 today. What it shows is checked; what it cannot show yet, it says so rather than estimate.
- 35 role pages, each with dated pay figures, a guide to the work and how people enter it
- Market demand signals for 143 roles and skill signals for 161
- The Market Radar, Salary Intelligence and the Job Fraud checker
- A source, a date and a grade on every figure
- 164 roles have no pay figure yet, so they have no page
- Most pay figures come from public-sector notices, because private employers rarely publish their pay
- Location is a State-level factor from the labour force survey, not a city salary index
A role gains a page when a recruitment notice, a placement report or a government survey states its pay. Each new figure is archived word for word, checksummed and dated before it is used; the data catalogue lists every source and version.
Write through the contact page with the page address and what looks wrong. Corrections are checked against the official source and dated, as the editorial policy sets out.
Questions
Where do the salary figures come from?
From documents that state pay themselves: recruitment notices of government bodies, public-sector companies and banks; placement results of ICAI, ICMAI and IIM Ahmedabad; job descriptions employers file at ICMAI's campus; and the government's Periodic Labour Force Survey. Figures that reached the site through a press report are marked as such and graded lower. Job-portal estimates and anonymous self-reports are not used.
Why do only 35 of 199 roles have pay figures?
Because a role gets a figure only when a source states one for that role. The other roles still show market demand or skill signals where they exist, and are marked as research gaps where nothing is on file yet. No salary is inferred from a job title, an industry average or a demand signal.
Why are so many figures basic pay rather than in-hand pay?
Government, PSU and bank notices print the pay scale. Allowances depend on the posting, and deductions depend on the employee, so the notice cannot state take-home pay. Each role page says which figures are basic pay and which are cost to company.
How often is the data updated?
New figures are added as notices and reports are published. Every figure shows its effective date; as a figure ages it is marked ageing and then stale, and its grade falls, so an old figure never passes for a current one.
