Tax & Money Lab — Calculate, Compare & Decide

India's practical tax and financial decision engine.

The Lab is where this site's interactive tools live: calculators, comparisons and simulators for Indian income tax, salary and CTC, NRI status and personal finance. Each one is built by a Chartered Accountant, shows the arithmetic and the section it rests on, and runs in your browser — no sign-up, and nothing you type is stored.

  • 29calculators live
  • 87articles, each with an infographic

The rooms

Eight rooms: live tools today, and what is still being built.

Live tools open directly. Where a room is still growing, the card says what is coming and links to what already helps.

✨ Source-Grounded Tax Copilot

Ask anything about tax, GST and money. Get the answer, the section and the page to read.

It answers from every article, calculator and tool on this site, the section map of the Income-tax Act, 2025 and the due-date calendar: it quotes the page, marks the words that matched and links to the exact section. Where a rule is written into it, you also get the section, the official source and the arithmetic. It will not guess: a question the site has not covered gets a plain refusal, not an invented answer. English or Hinglish both work. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

How the Lab works

Every tool answers three questions before it gives you a number.

  1. What does the law say?The rate, the threshold and the section are named on the page, and every threshold sits in one editable block in the tool's code, so a Budget change is a one-line update.
  2. What did you assume?Defaults are labelled as defaults — what the law requires, what an employer decides, what the tool assumed — so you can see where your answer would differ.
  3. Can you take it with you? Each calculation can be shared as a link that restores your inputs, or downloaded as a PDF with the working and the charts on it.
