These terms cover your use of caakhilesh.in. By reading the articles or using the calculators, you accept them. They are deliberately short.

This is information, not advice

This is the important one. Everything published here — every article, every calculator, every worked example — is general information written for education. It is not tax advice, financial advice, investment advice or legal advice. It is not a recommendation to do or avoid anything. It takes no account of your income, your assets, your residential status or your circumstances, because I do not know them.

Reading this site does not create a client relationship between us. A professional engagement begins only with a signed engagement letter, and nothing on this site is a substitute for advice given after someone has actually examined your position.

Accuracy and currency

I take real care with the figures, and I state the law and the assessment year each piece was written under. Even so, Indian tax law changes with every Finance Act, and rates, thresholds, portals and due dates move between the day something is published and the day you read it. Verify current provisions before you act. Each article carries the date it was published and, where it has been revised, the date it was last updated.

The calculators

The calculators are provided to show you the shape of a computation and the working behind it. They implement the rules as I understand them for the assessment year named on each page, and they simplify in places — they cannot cover every provision that might apply to you. Treat the output as an estimate to sanity-check a professional computation, never as a filing figure.

Liability

I provide this site as it is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss arising from a decision you take on the basis of something published here. If you are about to act on a number that matters, have a professional look at your specific facts first.

The writing, the calculators and the artwork on this site are mine. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back. Republishing whole articles, or reproducing the calculators, needs my written permission — just ask.

Independence

This is an independent personal publication. The views here are my own and not those of any employer, client or professional body. Where a piece discusses a product, I hold no commercial relationship with the provider unless the article says otherwise on its face.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Gurugram, Haryana have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
