Kendriya Vidyalayas, the central government schools run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, employ Primary Teachers (PRT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) and Post Graduate Teachers (PGT). Their pay levels, and a principal's, are the figures on this page.
A B.Ed. for TGT and PGT posts; a D.El.Ed. or a similar diploma for primary teaching.
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test, conducted by CBSE, is required for primary teachers and TGTs in central schools.
A degree in the subject for TGT posts; a master's for PGT posts.
KVS advertises its own vacancies; States recruit teachers through their own tests and boards.

No. Central schools ask for CTET for primary teachers and TGTs. A PGT post needs a master's degree in the subject and a B.Ed.
