The spread
How far these funds differ.
The lowest and highest figure in each column. The spread says how much the choice within a category matters; it does not say which fund to choose.
Expense ratio, Direct plan0.76% to 1.48%lowest to highest

Worst fall from a peak-40.8% to -15.3%lowest to highest
Reading the table
What each column is.
- Returns. The yearly rate the Direct plan grew at over three and five years to the NAV date. Past returns do not tell you what the next five years will bring. How returns are computed
- Expense ratio. What the fund charges each year, taken from the fund's value before returns are reported. Where it comes from
- Worst fall. The largest drop from a peak to the low that followed, since 2015. How a fall is measured
- After tax. What an investor would have kept, on stated assumptions. Your own tax depends on your other gains and income.
- Fund size. The fund's net assets, from the fund house's monthly statement.
