Goal SIP Calculator
A target, a horizon and what you can put in. Three illustrative return scenarios, the gap under each, and the SIP or step-up that would close it.
The figures the form opens with.
Invented figures, worked by the same arithmetic as the form. The rates are scenarios, not forecasts.
A 32-year-old has ₹8.00 lakh invested, adds ₹40,000 a month and raises that by 10% each year. The target is ₹5.00 crore at 55, which is 23 years away.
| Scenario | Corpus at 55 | Against the target | What would reach it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8% a year | ₹8.19 crore | ₹3.19 crore above the target | Reached |
| 10% a year | ₹10.18 crore | ₹5.18 crore above the target | Reached |
| 12% a year | ₹12.82 crore | ₹7.82 crore above the target | Reached |
Over those 23 years ₹3.90 crore is put in. The rest of each corpus is growth.
What inflation does to the target. At 6% assumed inflation, ₹5.00 crore in 23 years buys what ₹1.31 crore buys today. To have today's ₹5.00 crore of buying power then, the target would have to be ₹19.10 crore.
