How to Check IPO Allotment Status: KFintech, MUFG Intime, Bigshare, NSE and BSE

Every IPO result comes from one place: the registrar to the issue. Three registrars, KFin Technologies, MUFG Intime and Bigshare, ran 136 of the 165 IPOs listed on NSE in 2026, and 101 of the 102 mainboard ones. How to find your issue's registrar, the status page of each, what NSE and BSE show, the day the result appears and why a holiday moves it, what each result means, and what to do when the money stays blocked.

Searches for "IPO allotment status" jump on the evening after a popular issue closes, and most of what comes up is about one issue. This guide covers every IPO. The result always comes from one place, the registrar to the issue, so the first job is to find out which registrar that is. After that you need to know the address of its status page, which of your details it accepts, and the day the result goes up. The guide also covers what NSE and BSE show, what each result means, and what you are owed if the money stays blocked. To find out who runs the market's IPOs, we read the registrar named on NSE's page for each of the 165 IPOs listed there in 2026.

Written on 29 October 2026. The registrar count is from NSE's issue information for every IPO that closed and listed on NSE between 14 January and 28 October 2026: 102 on the main board and 63 on the SME platform. Each registrar's status page was opened and checked on 28 and 29 October 2026, and so were NSE's and BSE's. The timetable and the compensation rules are from SEBI's Master Circular on issue of capital (updated 9 February 2026) and the SEBI ICDR Regulations. This explains how to check; it is not a view on any issue.

Allotment status in six numbers

3 — registrars that ran 136 of the 165 IPOs listed on NSE in 2026 · T+1 — the working day after the issue closes, when the result is posted · T+2 — blocked money released and shares credited · T+3 — listing day · 10 days — how long NSE keeps your bid and allotment data after the issue closes · ₹100 a day — the least the bank owes if your money is still blocked after T+2.

Step one: find your issue's registrar

The registrar to the issue (its formal name is registrar and share transfer agent, or RTA) collects every bid from the exchanges and banks. It weeds out invalid bids, runs the allotment with the stock exchange and credits the shares. The result therefore lives on the registrar's site first. You can find which registrar an IPO uses in three places:

  • NSE's issue page. Open the IPO under Market Data, then Public Issues on nseindia.com. The issue information lists "Name of the Registrar" with its address, phone and email.
  • The prospectus. The cover page of the red herring prospectus names the "Registrar to the Offer", with a contact for investor complaints.
  • Your broker's IPO page, which usually names the registrar and links to it. A link you were sent on a messaging app does not count.

Usually it is one of three firms. This is who ran the IPOs that listed on NSE between January and October 2026:

KFintech, MUFG Intime and Bigshare ran 101 of the 102 mainboard IPOs. On the SME platform the work is spread across ten firms, so the issue page matters more there.

Step two: the registrar's status page

Each registrar has its own page. All of them ask you to pick the company from a list, which appears only once the issue has closed and the registrar has loaded it. Most also show a captcha. These are the addresses as checked on 29 October 2026:

RegistrarStatus pageSearch by
KFin Technologiesipostatus.kfintech.comApplication number, demat account or PAN
MUFG Intime Indiain.mpms.mufg.com, Public IssuesPAN, application number, DP and client ID, or bank account number with IFSC
Bigshare Servicesbigshareonline.com, IPO Allotment StatusPick one of three mirror servers, then the company; application number, demat (beneficiary) ID with NSDL or CDSL, or PAN
Skyline Financial Servicesskylinerta.com, IPO InformationPick the company under "Check Application Status"
Maashitla Securitiesmaashitla.com, Public IssuesApplication number, PAN, or DP ID with client ID
Cameo Corporate Servicesipo.cameoindia.comThree links to the same status page
Purva Sharegistrypurvashare.com, IPO Allotment QueryPick the company
Integrated Registryipostatus.integratedregistry.inPick the company

Two practical points. MUFG Intime India is the new name of Link Intime India, and the old linkintime.co.in address did not load when we tried it on 29 October 2026, so use the new one. On a busy result day, Bigshare and Cameo spread the load across mirror servers. If one is slow, try the next; they show the same data.

Which detail to use. The PAN is the easiest, because you know it. You will find the application number in the IPO section of your broker's app, often called the order book or bid history, or in the confirmation your bank sent for a net-banking bid. The DP ID and client ID are your demat account number, shown in the broker's profile page. For a joint demat account, use the PAN of the first holder, in whose name the bid was made.

The other two places: NSE and BSE

Both exchanges show the registrar's result as well, which helps when the registrar's page is overloaded:

  • NSE, at Verify IPO Bid/Allotment Details. Choose "Equity & SME IPO bid details", pick the issue's symbol, and enter your PAN or application number. The same page does a second job during bidding: it shows whether your bid reached the exchange, updated every 200 minutes. The data stays up for 10 days from the closing date, and the allotment shown is the one "provided by the registrar".
  • BSE, at Status of Issue Application. Set the issue type to Equity, select the company from the list, then type either your PAN or the application number. BSE notes that allotment details are published "after the allocation process is completed by RTA". Questions about the amount released go to your bank.

If the registrar, NSE and BSE ever disagree, the registrar's record is the one to take up, because the exchanges only show its file.

When the result appears: the T+1 to T+3 days

SEBI counts every IPO from the day bidding closes, which it calls T. Since 2023, every issue has run on the same three-day timetable after that:

DayWhat happensWhat to look at
T, the closing dayBidding ends. A UPI bid counts only if the mandate was approved by the cut-off shown on the exchange's issue pageNSE's bid verification page, to see that the bid was recorded
T+1The registrar finalises the basis of allotment with the designated stock exchangeThe registrar's status page, then NSE and BSE, usually from the evening
T+2Money for unsuccessful bids, or the unused part of a bid, is released; shares reach demat accountsYour bank or UPI app for the money, and the depository's SMS for the shares
T+3The shares list and tradeThe listing price, set in a special pre-open session

Holidays. The days are working days, not calendar days, and they don't all count the same way. When we built our IPO allotment calculator, we checked the rule against NSE's own dates. A bank holiday pushes T+1 and T+2 back, while listing needs only a trading day. That rule gives the actual listing day for 153 of the 155 IPOs listed in 2026 up to mid-October. A Friday close normally means the result on Monday, shares and money on Tuesday and listing on Wednesday. A bank holiday on the Monday moves all three back a day.

Why the result is not up yet on T+1. The registrar posts it only after the stock exchange has approved the basis of allotment, so it can appear late in the evening. Until then a search shows "no record", or the company is missing from the list. Searching again and again in the afternoon will not bring it sooner.

What the result means

The page showsMeaningNext
Shares allotted, with a numberYou won that many shares, always in whole lots in a retail or HNI bidThe price of those shares is debited from the blocked amount and the rest is released on T+2; the shares arrive the same day
Not allotted, or zero sharesA valid bid that lost the draw, which is the most common result in an oversubscribed issueThe whole amount is released on T+2
Rejected, or "technical rejection"The bid failed a check and never entered the drawThe amount is released on T+2; the usual reasons are below
No record foundA typing error, the result not yet posted, or a bid that never became valid (most often a UPI mandate not approved in time)Check the details, try NSE or BSE, then look at the mandate in your UPI app

Why most retail bids get nothing. Under regulation 49(4) of the SEBI ICDR Regulations, a retail investor who wins gets one lot. In a popular issue there are many more valid retail bids than lots, so the lots go by a draw. Bidding for more lots does not improve your chance. In the HNI quota, regulation 49(4A) gives each winner the smallest bid above ₹2 lakh. Employee and shareholder quotas are divided pro rata, so a bigger bid there does raise the allotment. The IPO allotment calculator works out your chance in each quota from the subscription figures.

Why a bid is rejected

Each prospectus lists its own grounds for technical rejection; the Jio Platforms prospectus of October 2026 is a typical list. These are the ones that catch individual investors most often:

  • A PAN that is not linked with Aadhaar.
  • Money blocked from someone else's bank account, or through a UPI ID linked to another person's account.
  • A bank or UPI app missing from SEBI's published list of those permitted for IPO bids.
  • A retail bid above ₹2 lakh.
  • A demat account suspended for credit, usually because its PAN was never verified.
  • More than one bid from the same PAN in the same category, which the company may treat as multiple bids and reject.
  • A bid uploaded or a mandate approved after the closing-day cut-off.

Your money: when the block is released, and if it is not

IPO money is blocked in your account, not taken, so on T+2 it should simply become free again. UPI bids are released by the issue's sponsor bank revoking the mandate. Net-banking bids are released by your own bank.

If the money is still blocked after T+2, SEBI's master circular fixes compensation. The bank that blocked it pays the larger of two sums: ₹100 for each day, or interest at 15% a year on the blocked amount, counted from T+3 to the day of release. Payment is due the same day your complaint reaches the bank. For amounts up to about ₹2.43 lakh the ₹100 floor is larger; above that, 15% a year is. Complain in this order:

  1. The bank that holds the blocked account. Write to its ASBA or IPO complaints desk with the application number and the sum held.
  2. The registrar, at the email address on the issue page.
  3. SEBI's SCORES portal, if neither resolves it.

Your shares: where they show up

Allotted shares land in your demat account on T+2, with a text message from the depository that holds it. The broker's app lists them in holdings that day or the next morning; selling has to wait for listing on T+3. On listing day the price is set in a special pre-open session before normal trading begins. If T+2 passes with no shares and the status page says they were allotted, write to the registrar first; it is the one that credits them.

SME IPOs: what is different

The checking is the same; the registrar is more often a smaller firm, as the table shows. Two rules differ:

  • The minimum bid is larger. Regulation 267(2) of the ICDR Regulations sets the minimum SME application at two lots, worth more than ₹2 lakh.
  • The shares list on NSE Emerge or BSE SME, and you can check them on the same NSE and BSE pages, choosing the SME issue.

Before you type your PAN anywhere

Allotment day brings messages on WhatsApp and Telegram offering an "early allotment list", a "confirmed allotment for a fee" or a link to "check status fast". None of these comes from a registrar or an exchange. The draw is run by the registrar's software under the exchange's supervision, and no one can sell you a place in it. Type your PAN only into the registrar's page you reached from the issue page, or into NSE's or BSE's own addresses above.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I check IPO allotment status? Find the issue's registrar on NSE's issue page or the prospectus cover. Then open the registrar's status page, pick the company, and search by PAN, application number or demat account. NSE's "Verify IPO Bid/Allotment Details" page and BSE's "Status of Issue Application" page show the same result.

How do I check IPO allotment status on KFintech? Go to ipostatus.kfintech.com and pick the company under "Select IPO". Then choose how to search (application number, demat account or PAN), type the detail and press Submit. A company joins the list only after its issue closes.

Where is the Link Intime IPO allotment status page now? Link Intime India is now MUFG Intime India. Its status page is in.mpms.mufg.com, under Public Issues. You can search by PAN, application number, DP and client ID, or bank account with IFSC.

How do I check Bigshare IPO allotment status? Open bigshareonline.com's IPO Allotment Status page, pick any of the three servers, choose the company and search by application number, demat (beneficiary) ID or PAN.

When will IPO allotment status come out? On T+1, the first working day after the issue closes, usually in the evening, once the stock exchange has approved the basis of allotment. A bank holiday on that day moves it to the next working day.

Why does my IPO allotment status say "no record found"? The result may not be posted yet, the PAN or application number may be mistyped, or the bid may never have become valid, usually because the UPI mandate was not approved before the cut-off.

Can I check IPO allotment status without the application number? Yes. Every registrar and both exchanges accept the PAN, and most also accept the demat account (DP and client ID).

When will I get my IPO refund? There is no refund as such: the money was only blocked. It is released by T+2, the second working day after the issue closes. If it is still blocked after that, the bank owes ₹100 a day or 15% a year, whichever is more.

When are IPO shares credited to the demat account? On T+2, the second working day after the issue closes. A text message from your depository confirms it, and the shares become sellable on listing day, T+3.

Does applying for more lots improve my chance in a retail IPO? No. A retail winner gets one lot, and winners are picked by a draw among valid bids, so ten lots and one lot have the same chance. A bigger bid helps only in pro-rata quotas such as the employee or shareholder quota.

Which registrar handles most IPOs in India? Of the 165 IPOs listed on NSE between January and October 2026, KFin Technologies ran 60, MUFG Intime 46 and Bigshare Services 30. Together they ran 101 of the 102 mainboard IPOs.

The status page addresses and their search options were checked on 29 October 2026; registrars do change them, so start from the issue page if one does not load. The registrar count covers IPOs that closed and listed on NSE from 14 January to 28 October 2026. This explains how to check an allotment; it is not a recommendation on any IPO.
