Calculate first. Understand second.
Each tool shows its working, runs in your browser, and can be shared as a link or a PDF. No sign-up, nothing stored.
Four steps. One accountant. No hot takes.
Every piece on this site goes through the same four steps, and the calculators are built to the same rule: the working is on the page so it can be checked.
Start from the statute, not the summary.
A rule is quoted from the section it lives in, with the section named — old number and new, where the 2025 Act renumbered it.
02WorkWorked through, not asserted.
If a piece says a figure, the arithmetic is on the page. The calculators show the formula they use rather than hiding it.
03CheckFour rules, and I'd like to be held to them.
No affiliate links or sponsored posts. Sources named. Numbers checked against the current Finance Act before anything is published.
04CorrectFixed where it stands, and noted.
Corrections go into the piece itself and are recorded at its foot, so a later reader sees the right figure and an earlier one sees what changed.
The newest piece.
Old Regime or New: How to Actually Decide
The comparison everyone runs is the wrong one. Instead of asking which regime is better, work out your break-even deduction — the single number that settles it in about two minutes.

What people ask before they read on.
Something else? Write to hello@caakhilesh.in and the accountant who wrote the piece will reply.
Who writes this?
CA Akhilesh Kumar, a Chartered Accountant qualified with the ICAI in 2022 and a Senior Finance Manager in industry in Gurgaon. Every piece and calculator here is his own work.
Is any of this advice?
No. It is general information written for education, not tax, financial, investment or legal advice, and it takes no account of your circumstances. For your own position, engage a professional who can see your facts.
Do the calculators store what I type?
No. The arithmetic runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. A share link carries the figures after the # in the address, which browsers never send to a server; the PDF is built on your own device.
How current is the tax content?
Pieces name the provision they rest on, and the calculators follow the Income-tax Act, 2025 where it applies from 1 April 2026. The law moves with every Finance Act, so check the date on a piece before acting on it.
Can I quote a figure or link to a calculator?
Yes. Every calculator has a ready-made credit line, and the articles can be linked freely. A link back is all that is asked.
Are there affiliate links or sponsored pieces?
None. No affiliate links, sponsored posts, referral codes or adverts.
One piece, every fortnight
The email list opens shortly. Until then, new pieces are on the RSS feed and on LinkedIn — and corrections, disagreements and article suggestions are welcome by email.
